The Bavarian Forest: A place visited by thousands of holidaymakers and not only German ones. People from all around Europe especially from the Czech Republic or Austria visit the Bavarian Forest and spend their holidays in Lower Bavaria.
But why?
The Bavarian Forest has so much to offer in summer and winter as well. It is a place to relax, discover new wildlife or play sports. But there are also a few more attractions offered in the Bavarian Forest. With the großer Arber, Rachel, or the großer Falkenstein you have the perfect opportunity to go on a hike, skiing, or running. The „Baumwipfelpfad „allows you for one moment to be on top of the Bavarian Forest. Another main attraction of the Bavarian Forest is the „Haus zur Wildnis“. This building gives you a short review of the history of the Bavarian Forest itself, the wildlife, and the flora with the help of reconstructions of trees, animals and is aimed at educating the visitors to preserve the beautiful wilderness. The „Haus zur Wildnis“ is also surrounded by an open-air enclosure filled with bears, wolfs and many more animals. It´s like a small zoo with special animals from the Bavarian Forest. The Bavarian forest with all its mountains and lakes, its special trail system, its beautiful bike paths and cross country skiing tracks is with no doubt one of the highlights of Lower Bavaria.
I’m particularly impressed by the living conditions given in the Bavarian Forest. There is no better place to grow up. All the benefits named in the text make the Bavarian Forest a special place. Holidaymakers spend money to visit the Bavarian Forest for no longer than two weeks and I can experience this highlight every day. The forest is a quiet location without any traffic noise and with free access to a diversity of outdoor and indoor activities in touch with nature. Perfect to protect yourself from stress or relax after a hard day at work. People who are interested in sport won´t be disappointed. You can go on a hike, cycling, running, cross-country skiing without paying any money. The only „bad thing“ is our connection to the motorway or higher populated cities like Munich or even Deggendorf but perhaps it is just this kind of remoteness that is the secret to its beauty.
The Bavarian Forest is the opposite of boring and it´s worth seeing this place once in a lifetime and meet other people from all around Europe.
